Knowledge panel

A knowledge panel is the box of facts Google shows beside or above results when it recognises the query as being about a known entity — a company, person, place or product.

It is assembled from Google's Knowledge Graph, not from your site. The facts come from many sources at once — Wikipedia and Wikidata, your own structured data, licensed databases, and what other sites consistently say about you — which is why nobody can simply write one.

What you can do is make the underlying facts consistent and machine-readable. Organization structured data on your site, a complete Google Business Profile, matching details across the places that describe you, and a Wikidata entry if you genuinely qualify. Contradictions are what keep a panel wrong or absent.

If a panel already exists for your entity, you can claim it. Verified representatives can suggest changes to some fields, which is a request rather than an edit — Google decides whether the correction sticks.
